I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my animals. Always get the best service and the right care. They actually care about the animals they are treating.

We have recently moved to the area and were looking for a local vet for our pets, so unfortunately this experience with Ark Vets has been extremely disappointing. My dog Dave has an ongoing ear problem and had already attended Ark Vets once last week, paid approximately £98 for the initial appointment and medication. Where his ear wasn’t examined as he was stressed and we were told to return next week Today was his follow-up appointment. Once again, they were unable to examine or treat his ear because he became distressed when handled. I was told he couldn’t be muzzled because he is short-nosed/a Boston Terrier, and instead I was told to take him home, give him calming medication and bring him back for another appointment — meaning another charge — despite me already paying for the initial appointment. I found the attitude extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful, and I was left feeling like I was being sent away rather than having Dave’s problem dealt with. I immediately took Dave to another vet afterwards. Within 30 minutes they were able to safely muzzle him, examine his ear and treat him. I am now making a formal complaint to Ark Vets and requesting a refund. This vets are money motivated. No care for my dog whatsoever. Even after a complaint was already put in last week! This is my personal experience, but I wanted other pet owners in the area to know what happened before choosing this practice.

We are so lucky to have such great exotic vets on our doorstep. We see Inigo with our guinea pigs which have had quite specialist problems and you can tell that he genuinely cares, he is very knowledgeable and is also keen to learn and share with peers from each case. We are really grateful for his care. We have seen other vets at the Kilamarsh practice and they are all of the same ethos.

Would highly recommend this vets. Sally the receptionist was a delight so friendly and helpful. Brian the vet was brilliant throughout. Even though it wasn't the outcome we wanted Ark vets were brilliant. Thank you so much xxx
