Briar Vets Ltd is described in clinic data as offering emergency veterinary services and being a veterinary nurse training facility. Recent reviews focus heavily on end-of-life care and pain/urgent appointments, with multiple owners describing kind support during euthanasia and a thorough assessment for sudden-onset pain (sent home with pain relief and probiotics). Reviews also contain a clear cost complaint about a non-emergency call-out euthanasia (£350 for a short visit) and a separate complaint about inconsistent advice between vets and lack of follow-up for an ongoing cat problem.
4.9 stars from 88 reviews. - Compassionate end-of-life support is repeatedly mentioned (e.g., “taking care of my dog… in her final hours”).

I cannot express enough how great this practice is. From receptionist to veterinary we received first class care. Delivered with true compasion and professional knowledge. My dog is easily stressed and absolutely everything was put in place to make her operation and recovery as stress free as possible. Thank you so much to Neil and his fabulous staff !!

I'm so disappointed to say this, thought this vets would be different..a male receptionist is s rude and has no understanding on the phone everytime l phone, which is repeatedly because nothing ever gets done,he just spouts the usual bla bla..won't listen to my problem. He has a bad attitude. lve spent ridiculous amount of money here too. l see a different vet who all say different things everytime. They haven't helped with my cats problem..they coudnt care less because nothing ever gets followed up.

While on holiday for a week from North London. The fees are very reasonable . But more importantly I saw Emily and the team today after my 15 month old male boxer developed pain overnight. First I called and the receptionist was warm, professional and kind and welcoming. Once there, the vet and the staff were reassuring, warm, kind and professional. The assessment was very thorough (I am a physiotherapist) and the treatment offered was neither too little nor too much. All obs were normal except for pain in the hips/lower limbs. Titus left with some well needed pain killers and some probiotics . The overall atmosphere and care were so positive I wish it were my normal practice . I would recommend anytime for routine and emergency care .
