The vets and the staffs take great care of my dogs. They genuinely care about the dogs. One of my dogs is 15 years old and required a few big surgeries with the vets. The surgeries are all successful, my dog is getting better and better! Highly recommend this vet practice!!

2021 - 1 star Terrible experience every time. I signed my rabbits up to vac4life back when it was available to rabbits and registered my rabbits here. The first trip I had to make was an out of hours and their out of hours is a further 10 miles away and the vet looked like she hadn't slept in days, clearly knew nothing about rabbits and tried to suggest we needed a £2k CT scan when in fact we needed an £8 tube of panacur. We moved vets after this, only visiting vets4pets for vac4life appointments. When they introduced the new triple vacc, they tried to charge me the difference between that and the old double vacc. I made it clear there was no allowance for this in the contract and got it in an email that they wouldn't charge me. Since covid began, they have been extremely reluctant to see me unless I'm willing to pay for an appointment, even though my vac4life is all paid for. In fact, they've refused to book me in for my 6 month checkups for 2 years straight now. These are extremely important for rescued rabbits who hide ailments and are now 7 years old. Definitely not got your pets best interests at heart. Covid or no covid, I'm a public service worker and have had to go to work unvaccinated for 17 months with no PPE so there's no excuse. When we are short staffed, we don't close or cancel things, we find cover and make it work. Businesses like these are an embarrassment to the country during this pandemic. 2025 I continued to attend this practice because I was unable to move my vac4life to another. Due to them not being specialists with rabbits, I have not had any treatment for my pets here. I have been informed since my last review that this franchise is under new ownership and not only have I been impressed, the new vet is always happy to have a good check of my rabbits teeth and has assured me they are happy to honour the 6 monthly check up from now on as well. 12 months ago, I was due to have my baby when my rabbits were due their vaccinations which I explained when booking and the receptionist was very understanding and when I contacted them to explain my baby had been born the night before on the morning of the appointment they were brilliant and happy to rearrange.

Vets4Pets Drakehouse are a great choice for dogs who are fearful of going to the vets. The reception staff, veterinary nurses and vets always make an effort to make a fuss of our anxious rescue, make her feel more calm and are gentle with her. We can't thank them enough for how they have treated her and all of our dogs (especially her clear favourite, Danny). It's also great that they are located in the shop as she loves going through the shop first, sniffing out all of the smells, then picking up a treat afterwards.

My dogs have been coming here for years and always feel comfortable around the vets. The vets are really helpful and thorough and the WhatsApp service they offer is great, especially as it is often difficult to get a same day appointment.

I can’t recommend this clinic enough! The veterinarians here provide outstanding care with warmth and professionalism. They take the time to explain treatments clearly and follow up to check on my pets. Whether it’s for routine visits or emergencies, I trust them completely. My pets couldn’t be in better hands!

Quoted £35 for a Cat De Mat with a 15-minute appointment. It took 5 minutes to complete. I politely asked the vet if he could quickly clip the cat's nails. He obliged with no words. Came to pay and the bill had gone up from £35 to £61. They charged me £25 for the clipping of the nails and changed the quote for the demat to £38. Nice staff and manager, but really bad communication and IMO this comes down to greed. Left feeling that I’d be taken advantage of financially. It’s a shame people are so short sighted and money hungry. I wouldn’t use this vet again.

Had an appointment for my dog due to him loosing his fur. Was seen really quickly. The vet was lovely and very thorough. Now got a fully diagnosis of alopecia and they have made me a diet plan with supplements to improve his coat. Very happy with the treatment my boy recieved.
