I cannot recommend Green Vets in Sheffield highly enough.
I moved to Sheffield three years ago and was recommended Green Vets by one of my neighbours, who spoke so highly of them that I decided to give them a try. I am so incredibly grateful that I did.
When I first brought my Shih Tzu, Suzie, to Green Vets, she was already a senior lady. From the very beginning, she received the professional care she deserved, but what stood out to me most was how genuinely loved she was. The vets, nurses, doctors and reception staff all seemed to fall in love with her and I always felt so welcomed whenever we came in. It was clear that Suzie wasn't just another patient she was genuinely cared about.
Over the years, Suzie needed appointment and surgeries and every single one was successful. The standard of care was exceptional and I also found the costs to be incredibly reasonable. In my experience, Green Vets provides an outstanding combination of excellent veterinary care, compassion and fair pricing.
Sadly, recently I had to make the most heartbreaking decision of my life and say goodbye to my beautiful senior girl, my sunshine, Suzie.
I had to phone Green Vets out of hours in the early morning and they told me to come in as soon as I possibly could. As soon as I arrived with Suzie, they immediately took us through and cared for us with such incredible compassion and understanding. The receptionist welcomed us in and made sure we were seen straight away. The vets and nurses were gentle, kind and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process.
Putting my beloved girl to sleep was one of the toughest moments I have ever experienced but Green Vets made such a horrible and heartbreaking moment as peaceful and beautiful as it could possibly be. They didn't just care for Suzie they cared for me too.
That is what makes Green Vets so special. They understand that our pets aren't simply animals; they are members of our family, our companions and, in many cases, our whole world. The team treated Suzie with love and dignity throughout her life, and they supported me with the same compassion when it was time to say goodbye.
I honestly cannot express how grateful I am to every single person at Green Vets. Every vet, nurse and member of the reception team I have encountered has been kind, professional and compassionate.
If you are considering Green Vets for your pet, I genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough. You and your pet will be treated with care, respect, compassion and most importantly love.

Took my puppies for microchipping and vaccines. Staff are very caring,taking time to explain everything. Exceptional vets,nurses and receptionists. Would highly recommend
I took my dog Bonnie after talking to my friend whose dog goes to Green vets and recommended them.
I booked Bonnie in for a health check so I could get her injections and book for her to be spayed.
The nurse didn't look in her ears or mouth and only took her temperature after I requested it, she was only focused on telling me my dog was too thin and because she had diarrhoea couldn't give her any injections (I had told the receptionist when I called).
The nurse said she could have a parasite and they could test for this at a cost of £130.
Bonnie has always had a sensitive stomach and I was told from first having her to give her butternut box (which I do).
All the previous vets and nurses (at peak vets) told me she is perfect because you should always be able to feel her ribs but not see them.
If Bonnie had a parasite she would be lethargic and have diarrhea most of the time, which she doesn't.
Obviously I won't be going back to Green veterinary practice!
Oh I nearly forgot it cost me £50 to be shame/blamed.....serious empathy training needed for the nurse.

This is the second review I have given these absolutely brilliant vets, I took my cat for blood tests Monday 16/02 at 5.30pm, his vet Tom called me at 7pm the same evening with a diagnosis even though the vets were technically closed ( that goes above and beyond in my opinion)
We ended up after 2 full days hospitalization letting our boy go to his forever sleep but not until Tom and then Anna had tried everything humanly possible but with two serious health conditions it was decided that prognosis wasn't good and we couldn't let him suffer in any way.
I would like to thank Tom, Anna and the wonderful nurse Declan who was so kind to me on both occasions we met for everything and say, if you are looking for kind, compassionate vets for whom nothing is too much trouble and costs are beyond reasonable please look no further.

Absolutely brilliant vets in every way, the staff are so kind and caring we would highly recommend them to everyone. They really did look after our dog Sheena.
Been with Green Vets for over three years now with our rescue dog and maine coon and never had any issues. All the vets and nurses there want the best for the animals in their care. We had an emergency today and the vet was calm and supportive explaining what to do and what to look out for over the phone. Couldn't be more thankful 🙏
Just wanted to thank Jennifer for her exceptional care today when faced with having my horse put to sleep it was heartbreaking but she was brilliant. Thank you
This is a very upsetting review and must advise to use these vets with caution!
I took my dog in September originally with a runny eye. The vet Heather treated him with eye drops. His eye didn't improve & his inner eyelid started to show. Heather put a dye in his eye which showed a blockage. Heather advised to have xrays which showed nothing. Again he was prescribed eye drops & antibiotics. Still no improvement so Heather suggested having him sedated & flushing out to see if a seed or foreign object was the obstruction. Still no improvement & he had swelling under eye & inner eyelid still showing. By October he was investigated with camera up his nose which showed a mass & was told he had an aggressive form of cancer. Nothing could be done. Asked how long he had and was told 'he will let you know'. No compassion shown from Heather. Given steroids & pain relief for a limited time.No follow up, no nothing. I lost my father the following week so understandably my head wasn't in a good place. Dealing with a post mortem & grieving took a while. When his medication ran out I rang to see if he needed more & yes I was told to collect more.
I took him to another vets to see if his time could be made more comfortable & check if anything could be done to give him more time. It was explained that only a scan would have given accurate details of where cancer was (not xrays) & a biopsy to show type of cancer. He's being checked weekly now with love & compassion. He's been given pain relief & dosage of steroids increased. If I had taken these steps with another vet after the diagnosis made, I believe a very different outcome could have happened. If I'd never visited this vets it's possible that my boy could have still been thriving as earlier intervention could have saved him.
